The former U.S. President Trump recently suggests using cyber warfare and sending special forces to attack the drug cartel leaders and stop fentanyl smuggling in Mexico. If reelected as president, Trump discusses using these battle plans in attacking the Northern American country.

According to Ward, Republican Representatives Dan Crenshaw and Mike Waltz also introduced a bill that seeks authorization to use military force in putting a stop to fentanyl smuggling in Mexico. In addition, Republican Senator Tom Cotton also stated he is open to sending military forces to attack drug cartel leaders in Mexico even without permission. Lawmakers in both the Congress and Senate have also filed legislation to classify some drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. This move is reportedly supported by Republican presidential candidates.

Opposition to the Suggestions in Stopping Fentanyl Smuggling
