Ryan Edwards’ Legal Issues
Ryan Edwards was arrested in February on charges of harassment, drug possession, and violating an order of protection, according to legal records. The following month, he was arrested again for aggravated stalking and violating a protection order.
In response, Ryan’s attorney filed a motion to withdraw as counsel for the former reality star. Ryan recently entered rehab for drug abuse and was ordered to wear a GPS monitor and stay away from the victim, based on a report by People.com.
Ryan has a teenage son with his ex, Maci Bookout, and two young children with Mackenzie. She filed for divorce from Ryan in February after accusing him of domestic violence. Mackenzie has detailed his struggles with heroin addiction on Teen Mom OG.
Mackenzie’s Divorce and Custody Battle
Mackenzie and Ryan have two young children together. In divorce court papers, obtained by The US Sun, she accused Ryan of “inappropriate marital conduct” and cited “irreconcilable differences.” She also filed a protection order against him after he allegedly became violent with her in front of their minor children. Mackenzie asked for temporary custody of the children and for Ryan to pay child support and alimony.
Ryan is also the father of a teenage son, Bentley, with his ex, Maci Bookout. Ryan reportedly filmed a scene with Bookout at a restaurant in Tennessee for Teen Mom: The Next Chapter before his most recent arrest.
