Starting in April, millions of Americans can expect to receive payments from various state programs.
Different Payments
Alaskans will receive three separate installments from the 2022 Permanent Fund Dividend, with the total amount to be announced soon. In Colorado, qualifying seniors and those with disabilities can receive relief funds through the Property Tax, Rent, Heat (PTC) Rebate program, with eligible residents able to receive up to $1,044 a year.
The program will provide over $7 million in relief funds in 2023. Direct deposits for the Colorado PTC Rebate will be available on April 5, with paper checks set to be sent by April 15, according to an article published in The U.S. Sun.
Meanwhile, Virginia residents can receive payments from the “Five Back” program, which provides five cents for every $100 paid on real estate property tax. This is made possible by an $18 million budget surplus for 2022.
In order to qualify for a payment, residents must have paid their real estate taxes in full by January 2022 and owned the property as of the second billing period of the fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2022.

When to Receive the Payments?
The specific dates for the payments depend on the program and the state. The Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend application season started on January 1 and will close on March 31, while the PTC Rebate deadline was March 10.
Applicants who submitted their applications before this date can expect to receive their payments in April. Virginia residents who qualify for the “Five Back” program will receive their payments soon, although no specific date has been announced.
The payments will provide a much-needed financial boost for Americans. While the amounts may vary depending on the program and the state, some people can expect to receive up to $3,284.
The funds can be used to supplement income, pay rent and property taxes, and provide relief for low-income residents, seniors, and those with disabilities. However, it is important to note that the eligibility criteria and deadlines for these programs vary, and residents should check with their state’s government website for more information.
