Complying with the Social Security Administration payment schedule, the beneficiaries will be given the second round of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) in 10 days, on March 31. The first round of Social Security checks in 2023 was distributed to eligible beneficiaries on March 1. In general, the monthly payments should actually be distributed on the first day of the month.According to Notheis, however, when the first day of the month is on a weekend or a holiday, it will be moved to the last business day of the preceding month instead. Therefore, since the first day of April is a Saturday, the scheduled payments for that month were moved to March 31, a Friday, instead.
Reportedly, individual filers will be given a maximum of Social Security checks in 2023 worth $914. On the other hand, joint filers can be given a maximum of $1,371. Essential persons or those who live with and take care of beneficiaries who receive SSI payments can be given a maximum of $458.

Other Months When Social Security Checks In 2023 Are Given Twice
According to Nesbit, apart from the month of March, beneficiaries will also be given Social Security checks in 2023 twice for the months of June, September, and December. This is because the first day of the months of July and October is a weekend and the first day of January is the New Year holiday. There may be months when the payments are received twice or not but nonetheless, there will be a total of 12 payments every year.
