For the month of March, the Social Security Administration (SSA) will issue a Social Security Check 2023 of retirement benefits and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments. The retirement benefits will be received by a group of retirees on the second, third, and the last Wednesday of the month depending on their birthdate. On the other hand, the SSI payments are generally issued on the first day of each month.However, according to Quirós Villalba, there will be two Social Security Check 2023 with SSI payments to be received for the month of March. This is because if the date of issuance for an SSI payment falls on a weekend or a holiday, the schedule is moved to the preceding weekday instead. Since the first day of April falls on a Saturday, the SSI payments for that month is moved to March 31. Therefore, apart from the SSI payments for the next month on March 1, another payment will be received on March 31.
Who will receive retirement benefits in Social Security Check 2023?
An article on CNET states that the retirement benefits for the Social Security Check 2023 will be received depending on the beneficiary’s date of birth. On March 8, beneficiaries whose birthdates fall between the 1st and 10th of a month will receive the retirement benefits. On March 15, beneficiaries whose birthdates fall between the 11th and 20th of a month will receive the benefits. Lastly, on March 22, beneficiaries whose birthdates fall between the 21st and 31st of a month will receive benefits as well.
