According to Gittins, however, the SNAP emergency allotments will discontinue in February and will not be received anymore by March. Nonetheless, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) announced that there are 35 U.S. states and territories that are still issuing emergency allotments this month. These 35 U.S. states and territories include Wisconsin, West Virginia, Washington, Virginia, Vermont, Utah, US Virgin Islands, Texas, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Oklahoma, Ohio, North Carolina, New York, New Mexico, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Nevada, Minnesota, Michigan, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Louisiana, Kansas, Hawaii, Illinois, Guam, District of Columbia, Delaware, Connecticut, Colorado, California, and Alabama.

How much SNAP benefits will be received by March?

An article on CBPP states that in estimation, every SNAP household will receive at least $95 per month once the emergency allotments are discontinued. An individual person can expect the average amount of their benefits to be reduced by $90 per month. However, those households who earn a rather higher income can expect their benefits to be reduced by more than $250 per month.

All SNAP recipients who will experience a reduction in their SNAP benefits will receive a mail this month to warn them about the changes in SNAP. The mail will also outline the amount of SNAP benefits to be received starting in March.
