Haven’t apply yet? $300 Rebate Program Application Ends Tomorrow

Residents of Pennsylvania have only just one day left to submit an application for a rebate program that could grant them with amounts ranging from $250 to $650.

The goal of the Pennsylvania Property Tax/Rebate program is to give elderly and or disabled residents some financial support. The amount received from this program will vary depending on annual income.

For homeowners, the maximum annual income that qualifies for this rebate is $35,000. These recipients will receive $650 if their annual income is $8,000 or less, $500 if it is between $8,001 and $15,000, $300 if it is between $15,001 and $18,000, and $250 if it is between $18,001 and $35,000 annually in line to an article posted by Washington Examiner on December 30, 2022.

A resident must be 65 years of age or older, a widow 50 years of age or older, or a person with a disability 18 years of age or older in order to qualify for this program in addition to the income limit. As long as the recipient has lived in their residence for at least one day in 2021 and meets all other eligibility requirements, spouses, personal representatives, or estates may also submit this rebate application on the beneficiary’s behalf.

The department strongly recommends eligible claimants to submit their applications online using myPATH. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, recipients have received a total of $7.3 billion since the rebate was first offered in 1971.
