Gabby Petito Case Update: Brian Laundrie Spotted in Canada?

A witness said that she saw Brian Laundrie, fiancé of YouTuber Gabby Petito, in Canada. Daily Mail said a flight attendant uploaded a picture of a bald guy with a beard and a face mask over his chin.

On September 20, the lady claimed on TikTok under the handle @cwlynn (via @del2268) that she spotted the “flustered” guy, who she thinks resembled Brian Laundrie, in a hotel in Toronto, Canada.

When the woman observed the guy going out of the hotel as she walked downstairs to pick up a meal delivery, she noticed him walking out of the hotel.

The flight attendant decided to snap a picture of the mysterious guy who looked like Brian Laundrie since he grabbed her attention.

When comparing Laundrie’s picture to the guy she photographed, the TikToker saw that the man’s ears are drooping due to the mask, just as they do when she wears one.

The flight attendant reported that she last saw the guy getting into a vehicle with another man and driving away. The lady said that she has informed the hotel of her suspicions, but the staff claimed that they were unaware of the situation.

A hotel employee also informed her that the guy “had the incorrect hotel” since he didn’t know where he was heading. According to the flight attendant, she also informed the FBI about her meeting with the mysterious guy.

Laundrie did not take his phone or wallet with him when he left his parents’ house in Florida last week. That makes it more difficult for police to locate him.

Gabby Petito Case: Search for Fiance Brian Laundrie Cost $1.2M So Far

Brian Laundrie is presently a person of interest in Gabby Petito’s disappearance and murder. According to reports, the ongoing hunt for him in the Carlton Reserve in Florida has already cost approximately $1.2 million.

Laundrie’s parents last saw him at their house on September 14. He informed them that he was going to the reserve.

Mike Hadsell, a former LA County Sheriff’s deputy and search and rescue specialist, told the Daily Mail that the efforts to find Laundrie in this region is likely costing about $200,000 each day.

Hadsell pointed out that if it is proved that Laundrie’s parents misled the police by falsely informing them that their son was going there, they may be held liable. 

On Friday, the North Port Police Department could still locate Brian Laundrie, who had gone missing in the Carlton Reserve.

North Port Police PIO Josh Taylor told Fox News that some members of the search team will stay in the region. 

However, Taylor said that they will not be “offering sound and video” this weekend “unless there is anything of significant significance.”

FBI Agents Follow Brian Laundrie’s Parents

Since Brian Laundrie disappeared, Daily Mail said that his parents have been the focus of detectives. Laundrie’s parents traveled 150 miles to Orlando, Florida on Thursday to meet with their son’s attorney, Steve Bertolino. Undercover investigators followed them.

Bertolino allegedly traveled from New York to Florida on Wednesday to meet with Christopher Laundrie, 62, and his wife Roberta, 55. That was after a federal arrest warrant for Gabby Petito’s missing fiancé was issued.

During their journey to Orlando, Laundrie’s parents met with Bertolino. FBI officers also trailed the pair’s whereabouts inside the Orlando Public Library. But why they went to the library was a mystery.

Meanwhile, at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, the North Port Police Department got a complaint of gunfire in the vicinity of Laundries’ house “from an unknown number.”

According to reports, at least 12 police vehicles arrived and entered the Laundries’ house and neighboring residences. But they all departed quickly. Given how fast the police departed, reporters in the neighborhood thought it was a “bogus call.”

On Thursday, the FBI issued a federal arrest warrant for Brian Laundrie for debit card fraud. The warrant would enable police to apprehend Gabby Petito’s fiancee.

Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie went on a cross-country road adventure. When the YouTuber ceased contact with her family in Wyoming in late August, the pair was going to Oregon.

North Port police designated Laundrie a person of interest when she returned home on September 1. It was 10 days before Petito’s family reported her missing.

Officials found Gabby Petito’s body in the Spread Creek Dispersed Campground in Wyoming on Sunday. Her death is being treated as a homicide investigation.
