Labar Tsethlikai Hit with New Kidnapping and Assault Charges in NM Murder Case


Labar Tsethlikai, a man previously facing the death penalty for a series of violent crimes committed against Indigenous men, is now facing additional charges. Investigators have uncovered new victims, bringing the total number of charges against him to 17. Tsethlikai is accused of kidnapping and murdering several Indigenous men who were experiencing homelessness, addiction, or both, over the course of two years, from 2022 to 2024.

In July, Tsethlikai was indicted on 11 charges, including multiple counts of murder and kidnapping, in connection with crimes committed against six victims. On Friday, authorities announced that he had been indicted on new charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and five counts of kidnapping related to five additional victims. The investigation into Tsethlikai’s actions continues as new details emerge.
