NYPD reports one individual taken to hospital after crash on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Authorities reported that a man crashed into a delivery van during a medical emergency in West Brighton on Monday morning.

The incident took place around 11 a.m. at the intersection of Forest and Greenleaf avenues. According to police, the driver experienced a diabetes-related medical emergency, which led to the crash. Emergency services transported the man to Richmond University Medical Center for treatment. No injuries were reported from the collision.
