Recall Issued for Popular Snack in Texas Due to Serious Health Risk

Cal Yee Farm LLC recently issued a recall for various products including “Tropical Trail Mix, Butter Toffee Almonds (sold under Cal Yee’s and Boa Vista Orchards brands), Mango with Chili, Hot Cajun Sesame Sticks, New Orleans Hot Mix, Fruit Basket 2909, Fruit Basket 2921” and all chocolate covered yogurt products.

This recall was initiated because these products may contain undeclared milk, soy, wheat, sesame, FD&C #6, and almonds, which were not listed on the product labels.

If you have allergies to milk, soy, wheat, sesame, or almonds, it is important to avoid consuming this product. As of Saturday, December 14, no illnesses related to this product have been reported. However, for your safety, it is recommended that you discard the product and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The products that have been recalled were distributed to nine states, including Texas. These products can be identified by their white or yellow labels, which feature the UPC code on each plastic container.

To find a comprehensive list of recalled UPC codes and the potential undeclared allergen associated with each product, please visit the official website of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) at FDA.gov.
