Accidental self-inflicted shooting involving a toddler reported in Starkville

A young child in Starkville accidentally injured himself with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

On Sunday, Dec. 15, there was an accident at an apartment located on Louisville Street.

Nigel Cheatham, a 24-year-old resident of Starkville, was apprehended by deputies on charges of child deprivation.
