Suspect located and apprehended in Kansas City for Utah rape case


Over the weekend, authorities in Kansas City, Missouri, apprehended and arrested a man who was wanted for a rape case in Utah.

Robert A. Stringham, 36, who was wanted for a sexual assault in Utah, has been apprehended in Kansas City, according to court records filed on Friday, Dec. 13 in the Jackson County, Missouri Circuit Court.

An extradition waiver has come to light, revealing that Stringham has been charged with rape in the Salt Lake County, Utah, District Court. Stringham himself has signed the waiver, and it has been ordered by the Honorable Judge Travis Willingham for his extradition.

Stringham is currently in custody in Missouri on a hold for the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The bond has not been set, and there is no additional information available at this time.
