Santana’s 2025 Las Vegas residency dates have also been confirmed, with two engagement periods scheduled. Santana’s most recent musical release was “Let the Guitar Play,” a collaboration with Darryl “DMC” McDaniels of Run DMC. Released in January 2024, the track is a reimagined version of “Song for Cindy,” an instrumental from Santana’s 2021 album Blessings and Miracles. The song features Santana’s iconic guitar work and DMC’s rapped vocals, with additional contributions from Santana’s wife, drummer Cindy Blackman Santana. The track was co-written by Carlos, DMC, and Narada Michael Walden, who also co-produced the song alongside Lino Nicolosi. A special 12-inch single, pressed on tie-dye-colored vinyl, was released on November 29 as part of the 2024 Record Store Day Black Friday event.
