Cold temperatures will persist over the next few days as Canadian and Arctic high pressure remain in control of the weather pattern.
Overnight lows through Saturday are expected to be unusually cold, dropping into the teens and 20s. Daytime highs will also stay cool, with most areas reaching only the 40s on Friday and upper 40s to mid-50s on Saturday.
However, temperatures will start to warm up by Sunday and into early next week, bringing some relief.
This warm-up will also bring a chance for rain, with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms. Highs will be in the 50s and 60s, while overnight lows will mostly stay in the 40s and 50s.
