In boys’ basketball, Menaul defeated Mescalero Apache with a score of 64-49. Landyn Hiles led the Chiefs with 21 points, followed by Davin Davis with 9 and Anthony Yuzos with 8. The Chiefs fell to 0-2 on the season and will host Laguna Acoma on Thursday.
In the second game, Legacy Academy triumphed over Mescalero Apache 58-31. Landyn Hiles again led the Chiefs with 11 points, with Niles Caje contributing 6 and Thomas Douglas adding 5.
On the girls’ side, Mescalero Apache dominated Menaul 61-32. Skyla Enjady was the standout, recording 11 points and 14 rebounds. Laurdis Sundayman and Bridgette Blake each contributed 9 points, while Liz Rocha added 8. The Lady Chiefs improved to a 2-0 record and will host Laguna Acoma on Thursday.
In the final game, the Lady Chiefs edged out Legacy Academy 38-34. Laurdis Sundayman led with 8 points, while Railey Blake and Cielo Herrera each chipped in with 6 points. Molly Pena, Jade Artiaga, and Skyla Enjady each contributed 4 points.
