Eligibility requirements for the PM Scholarship Scheme under the RPF/RPSF are as follows:

• The applicant should be a dependent or widow of an RPF or RPSF personnel.
• The student must have regular admission from a recognized institution participating in the PM Scholarship Scheme 2024.
• The student should be pursuing higher technical or vocational education.
• The student must be enrolled in a recognized institution under the All India Council for Technical Education, Medical Council of India, University Grants Commission, or National Council for Teacher Education.
• The applicant should have scored more than 60% in 12th grade.
• Scholarships are offered to a total of 5500 wards/widows of Ex-servicemen every academic year.
• The scholarships are distributed equally between boys and girls, with 2750 scholarships awarded to each gender.
•  The duration of the PM Scholarship varies based on the approved course duration by the regulatory bodies, ranging from one to five years.
• The selected students receive the PMSS Scholarship amount on an annual basis.

PM Scholarship Awards 2024

The PM Scholarship Scheme 2024 offers financial support to students throughout their course. The maximum scholarship duration is 5 years. In terms of the scholarship amount, female students receive monthly financial assistance of ₹3000, whereas male students receive ₹2500 per month.

PM Scholarship Scheme 2024 Dates

Start your application in September 2024 and make sure to submit it before the October 2024 deadline. The merit list will be selected in October 2024, followed by the validation of bank accounts. By November 2024, the Ministry of Railways will sanction the scholarships, and in December 2024, the scholarship amount will be disbursed into the beneficiaries’ accounts. • These courses must be duly recognized by the respective government regulatory bodies such as the All India Council for Technical Education, Medical Council of India, UGC, etc. However, master degree courses, except for MBA/MCA courses, are not eligible for the PMSS scholarship.
• Additionally, students studying abroad and those enrolled in distance learning courses are not eligible for this scheme. It is important to note that PMSS can only be availed for one course.

PM Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) 2024 – Registration

• To apply for the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for the Wards of RPF/RPSF, candidates should start by visiting the official website.
• From there, they should click on the link that says “PM Scholarship Scheme 2024 for RPF/RPSF 2024 apply now Link”.
• Once they click on this link, they will be directed to the registration page where they need to click on the “Register” button and complete the PMSS 2024 Registration process.
• If it’s their first time registering, they should click on the tab that says “PM Scholarship Scheme 2024 New Registration”. After that, they should click on the “Continue” button.
• Upon clicking the “Continue” button, candidates will be asked to enter their mobile number, fill in the captcha code, and verify the OTP.
• Once the OTP verification is done, the candidate’s PMSS 2024 registration will be complete.
