Trump Secures Missouri and Michigan with Convincing Caucus Wins

Former President Donald Trump secures wins in the GOP nomination by winning in Missouri and getting most of the delegates in Michigan. His main competitor Nikki Haley still hasn’t won any elections this year. The next important events are in Washington, D.C., and Super Tuesday where 16 states will have their say and Trump seems likely to secure the nomination soon. Things weren’t easy for Nikki Haley in Missouri where a supporter tried to convince others to vote for her but didn’t go well. Only 37 out of 263 Republicans there supported Haley. In Michigan Trump secures wins in all 39 delegates at the convention.

New System Takes Center Stage in Idaho’s Republican Caucuses

Next up are the Republican caucuses in Idaho. This is the first time they’re using a new system mainly run by volunteers. It’s part of changes made after a law canceled the planned presidential primary in March. Trump’s popularity is clear and the Idaho caucuses will show more about how regular party members feel. Even though the Democratic caucuses in Idaho are in May both parties are figuring out how to work with these new ways of choosing candidates. It’s a bit like a puzzle for everyone involved.
