Special Assistant to the Mayor of New York Named As Consultant For Chinese Communist Party-Backed Organizations

Winnie Greco was named as a longtime consultant for two Chinese Communist Party-backed organizations. Further reports say Greco is a special assistant to the mayor of New York City, Eric Adams.

Special Assistant to the Mayor of New York City, Winnie Greco, 61, was named by two organizations funded by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as their longtime consultant. Further reports say the Special Assistant to the Mayor was also appointed by Adams as his director of Asian affairs, earning $100,000 from the city in 2022.

According to Vincent, the Chinese Communist Party-backed organizations that named the Special Assistant to the Mayor as their consultant were the Fujian Daily Southeast Network and the Dong Guan Association of America.

Special Assistant to the Mayor’s Involvement with CCP

An article in Head Topics states that the Special Assistant to the Mayor and her company received money from the Propaganda Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CCP. In addition, the Special Assistant to the Mayor also reportedly attended events coordinated by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

Further reports say that the disclosure that the Special Assistant to the Mayor’s involvement with the CCP comes after the revelation that China was secretly running police stations in New York City. Nonetheless, on September 8, sources revealed that the Special Assistant to the Mayor asked the Dong Guan Association of America to make changes to its website.
