Following a report of the death of one individual, organizers of the 2023 Burning Man festival shut down the entrance and exit gates to inbound vehicles. Reports say the 2023 Burning Man festival in the Black Rock Desert around 110 miles north of the city of Reno was attended by almost 80,000 activists, artists, and musicians.

Nonetheless, an article in Fortune states that the authorities are working to open the exit routes by the end of this weekend. Further reports say the road closures were done before the large wooden sculpture that was supposed to have been burned during the 2023 Burning Man festival was set on fire.
