Chicago Man Charged with Murder of a 9-Year-Old Girl
According to a published article, Michael Goodman, a 43-year-old resident of Chicago, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the murder of a 9-year-old girl.
Witnesses recounted that Serabi was riding her scooter when Goodman, apparently angered by the noise, confronted her and subsequently fired a fatal shot.

Megan Kelle, a neighbor, mourned the murder of a 9-year-old girl, saying, “It just didn’t make sense. None of it made sense. Everybody in the community would just tell him they are just kids having fun playing. Just let them be.”

Murder of a 9-Year-Old Girl: Father Shoots Suspect
The aftermath of the murder of a 9-year-old girl saw an immediate police response, with authorities gathering evidence and conducting interviews at Goodman’s apartment building.
Reportedly, before the murder of a 9-year-old girl took place, Goodman had made comments about the noise level created by the children.
According to the Washington Post, Serabi’s father bravely intervened after the murder of a 9-year-old girl, engaging in a struggle with Goodman.
During this confrontation, Goodman was shot. Community activist Andrew Holmes recounted the harrowing moment: “He ran over there, football-tackled this guy.”
Goodman was taken into custody following the murder of a 9-year-old girl, and investigations are ongoing. However, as of now, he is not listed in online Cook County court records, and his legal representation has not been located for comments on the case.
