Brass’s revelations shed light on the dangers associated with the sex trade and have raised questions about potential connections to the infamous Gilgo Beach murders. According to CBS News, Nikkie Brass recently detailed her terrifying encounter with Rex Heuermann, whom she claims she met in 2015.

Brass asserts that during their date, Rex Heuermann asked her to come to his home, but she insisted on meeting at a restaurant instead. The conversation took a dark turn when Heuermann brought up the Gilgo Beach murders and started discussing the details of the case with an alarming fascination.

During the date, Rex Heuermann allegedly speculated about the methods the Gilgo Beach killer used to dispose of the victims’ bodies without detection. Brass became increasingly uneasy and felt compelled to distance herself from the conversation and the man seated across from her.

The former escort revealed that Rex Heuermann mentioned specific details, such as the use of burlap sacks to wrap the victims, which were not widely known to the public at the time.

Brass stated that Rex Heuermann displayed a callous lack of empathy towards the victims, referring to them dismissively as “escorts anyway.”

She described his demeanor as someone who seemed to revel in recounting the gruesome details of the murders rather than expressing genuine concern or sorrow for the victims and their families. Brass grew increasingly apprehensive about being in Rex Heuermann’s presence.

Feeling unsafe and alarmed, she declined his offer to drive her back to Nassau County, where he resided. The encounter left her deeply unsettled and suspicious of the man she had just spent time with.

The Investigation and Rex Heuermann’s Defense

According to MSN, the case surrounding Rex Heuermann has intensified, with a new task force focusing on him as a suspect following connections to a Chevrolet Avalanche pickup truck seen during one of the victims’ disappearances.

Investigators reportedly linked DNA from a pizza Heuermann consumed to hair found on burlap wrapped around one of the victims, along with evidence connecting him to burner cell phones used in arranging meetings with the victims.

Heuermann’s lawyer, Michael Brown, maintains that his client is a licensed architect with no prior criminal history, emphasizing that there is no evidence suggesting Heuermann’s involvement in the crimes.

Brown describes Rex Heuermann as a loving husband and dedicated father. Heuermann’s wife, Asa Ellerup, has filed for divorce amid the ongoing investigation and media scrutiny.

Brass revealed that she refrained from reporting her concerns at the time due to her involvement in the sex trade and her criminal record. However, she now feels an urgent responsibility to warn other young women about the potential dangers they may face while engaging in similar work.
