The next batch of payments under a Guaranteed Income pilot program in New Jersey was expected to be issued on July 1. The payments are worth $250 and were to be distributed to 200 out of the 400 recipients of the Guaranteed Income pilot program.According to Notheis, half of the recipients of the payments under the Guaranteed Income pilot program will receive a smaller amount twice a month. On the other hand, the other half of the recipients under the Guaranteed Income pilot program will receive a bigger amount every six months.

Who will qualify for the Guaranteed Income pilot program?
According to Schilke, all recipients of the payments under the Guaranteed Income pilot program were randomly chosen. Individuals who will receive smaller amounts are expected to collect the payments on the 1st and the 15th of every month. On the other hand, those who will receive bigger amounts are expected to collect the payments in May and October.
Newark philanthropic liaison, Kevin Callaghan, states that 41% of the recipients under the Guaranteed Income pilot program spent the payments they received to buy food, clothes, and other necessities at retail stores. On the other hand, 26% of them spent their money at grocery stores.
