Pastor Heath Haynes saved his elderly neighbor who was screaming for help from a violent intruder. Reports say the Texas pastor recorded the incident believing the camera could prevent the suspect from becoming more violent.
On June 15, local pastor Heath Haynes of Texas was with his wife at home when they heard their elderly neighbor Sharon Koehn screaming for help. Upon peeking in the Koehns’ window, the Texas pastor reportedly saw Sharon’s husband, Earl, 85, on the floor with a man ransacking through his pockets.According to Colton, the Texas pastor began recording the incident thinking that the camera would prevent the suspect from becoming more violent. The video showed Haynes commanding the suspect to put down the keys of Earl’s pickup truck that he had in his hands along with other items.
Thereafter, the Texas pastor managed to restrain the suspect for a few moments. However, the suspect jumped into the pickup truck and drove it through a fence before taking off down the road. Fortunately, the authorities were able to capture the suspect later that day after a brief police chase.

Suspect Faced Charges
According to Lepore, the suspect was later identified as Shane Jennings, 54. Reports say Jennings faced six felony charges that included assault of a peace officer and aggravated assault of an elderly person. Fortunately, the Koehns did not sustain any serious injury during the attack.
