Mitchell Taebel of Long Beach, Indiana was arrested after stalking and harassing Taylor Swift during the Eras Tour. The Indiana man sent threats to Swift, her team, and management from March to May 2023.
On March 29, Mitchell Taebel, 36, of Long Beach, Indiana, reportedly sent a voice to American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift threatening her about wearing a bomb. Thereafter, the Indiana man also sent messages to those related to Swift, including her father and back-up dancers.According to Smart, the Indiana man has been accused of sending threats to Swift, her team, and management from March to May of this year. On May 5, Taebel allegedly even traveled to Swift’s house in Nashville, Tennessee. When he was escorted away by security, Taebel went to the Nissan Stadium where Swift was going to perform that night.
Indiana Man Arrested
According to Kreps, on June 2, the Indiana man was eventually booked into the LaPorte County Jail. Reportedly, Taebel faced charges of invasion of privacy and harassment, stalking, and intimidation. In addition, 13 Management’s legal counsel requested a temporary restraining order that was served to Taebel last May 13.
Unfortunately, reports say the Indiana man disregarded the restraining order and continued to send threats to Swift until at least May 18. Nonetheless, on June 1, a bond worth $15,000 was set for Taebel’s stalking charge. Furthermore, his next appearance in court is already scheduled on July 27 at 8:30 a.m.
