Banning Of Child Sex Dolls

Many States have already passed laws banning child sex dolls. Hawaii, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Florida are among the States who banned child sex dolls.

On the other hand, other groups claim that dolls help children by providing those attracted to children another outlet, but others find child sex dolls disgusting.

Other countries like England have banned the importation of child sex dolls, while Canada classifies the doll as child pornography.

State Rep. Joy Goeben and Sen. Jesse James‘ bill defines a child sex doll as an anatomically correct robot, mannequin, or doll whose features resemble minors and are intended for sexual uses.

According to the bill, if anyone was caught possessing a child sex doll would be guilty of a felony that is punishable by up to 3 and a half years imprisonment for a first offense. A second offense is punishable by up to 6 years involving three and more dolls, while up to 10 years for a third or subsequent offense. If a child sex doll resembles a specific minor, the offender would face 15 years in prison for a first offense, while 25 years for a subsequent offense.

State Rep. Goeben believes that pedophiles use dolls in the lead-up to the actual assault on children.

But, not everyone agrees with it. The Prostasia Foundation said on its website that banning child sex dolls is an unconstitutional invasion of privacy and removed a harmless outlet to those attracted to minors and may lead to more sexual assaults on real children.

The National Institutes of Health’s National Library of Medicine released findings last year from a survey of child sex doll owners and minor-attracted people who do not own dolls. The survey shows that doll ownership was associated with lower levels of sexual preoccupation, on the other hand, they have more sexually objectifying behaviors and anticipation with sex to children.
