CBS News reported that shots were fired at responders and agents near the U.S. Border Patrol while they are helping a 4-year-old boy.

Shots Fired At U.S. Border Patrol
According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency, the incident happened about a half-mile east of the San Ysidro border crossing in San Diego in which Border Patrol agents helped an unidentified boy.
The boy was reportedly dropped off by someone entering the U.S. illegally from a primary border barrier.
As the U.S. Border Patrol agents helped the unidentified boy, agents heard both the impact of gunshots off and the ricochet of the secondary border barrier north of their location.
According to Customs and Border Protection, the gunshots are believed to have originated from the Mexican side of the border.
Emergency medical services like the San Diego Fire Department were on the scene, the agents then told everyone on the scene to take cover.

U.S. Border Shooting
Officials say that in a separate incident on Saturday night, while a Border Patrol supervisor is patrolling, he said that he was taking gunfire from southwest of his location.
Several individuals were caught by surveillance camera operators south of the border and are seen to be carrying a rifle.
The incidents are now under investigation, while more border agents have been added to the area.
