How the Stabbing Suspect was Arrested
An article in FOX 10 Phoenix states that Lieutenant James Hester of Phoenix Police stated that without any provocation, the stabbing suspect brutally attacked Heike with a sharp object. Hester added that Teasley had followed Heike on the trail before attacking her from behind. Nonetheless, Hester believes Heike was able to fight off and run away, but her injuries were too grave that she did not survive.
Hester also revealed that they have identified the stabbing suspect after developing a forensic profile, gathering additional images that identified him, and obtaining cell tower evidence that placed him in the immediate area. Due to this, Teasley was reportedly located in an apartment near the crime scene and was taken into custody.
