Progressives of New York want a higher income tax for high-income people. Low-income families should pay lower income taxes than rich ones especially those who have many businesses.
Higher-income tax for wealthy people will help finance many of the safety net programs of the country that can help low-income people. It is a big help for people in need, especially those who are disabled, old, and sick ones.
Higher Income Tax, and higher public funds for more projects that can help needy individuals. If this proposal will be approved, it will not only help low-income people but will also boost the economy from the present to the future.

An Approved Budget Amounting to $229 Billion
Gov. Kathy Hochul and Congress approved a $229 billion budget for a handful of tax increases. The cigarette tax will increase by $1 per pack and the fund will be used for the mass transit of New York.
Republican lawmakers and Fiscal watchdogs contradicted this kind of increase because according to them it won’t be necessary, it will only be corrupted and potentially counterproductive.
