The city officials lifted the shelter-in-place order after the suspect to the UC Davis stabbing incidents is still not located. Reports say all three attacks last April 27, April 29, and May 1 were executed at different parks near the campus.
Following another UC Davis stabbing incident last May 1, an overnight shelter-in-place order was made after a woman was left in critical condition. The attack on May 1 was preceded by two other stabbing incidents in the University of California, Davis. Reports say on April 27, David Breaux, 50, and on April 29, Karim Abou Najm, 20, were also stabbed to death at different parks near the campus.An article in CNN states that yesterday, May 2, Gary S. May, the university’s chancellor declared that all classes that finish after 6 p.m. will be held online. May also urged all clubs and student activities meeting during that time to be held online as well due to the third UC Davis stabbing incident in less than a week.
However, after the authorities from the Davis Police Department were not able to locate the suspect despite a thorough search overnight, the shelter-in-place order was decided to be lifted. Nonetheless, the residents of Davis are urged to be aware of their surroundings since the UC Davis stabbing suspect is still at large.

Searching For the UC Davis Stabbing Suspect
According to Scully, on May 2, Davis Police Chief Darren Pytel stated in a news conference that they did not have a positive link to the three UC Davis stabbing incidents. Nonetheless, Pytel pointed out the similarities among them, stating that the two homicides happened in city parks, while the suspect/s on the second homicide and the attack on May 1 both interacted with witnesses.
