The armored truck robbery incidents that happened just hours apart in three different areas in Chicago are still being investigated. These separate incidents reportedly took place in Bridgeport, Lansing, and Calumet City.
On April 12, the Chicago Police Department had begun investigating the armored truck robbery incidents that happened just hours apart from each other in three different areas in Chicago. These back-to-back-to-back incidents reportedly took place in the neighborhood of Bridgeport, the suburb of Lansing, and the city of Calumet.According to Rumpf-Whitten, the Chicago Police responded to two separate armored truck robbery incidents in Lansing and Calumet City. At around 9:30 a.m., an armored truck was reportedly robbed at Pete’s Fresh Market in Calumet City. On the other hand, another armored truck robbery incident occurred in Lansing.

Armored Truck Robbery Suspects Arrested
According to Machi, at around 1:20 p.m., two unidentified suspects closed in on a male individual who was unloading an armored truck of Brink in Bridgeport. Reports say these two suspects withdrew their weapons and demanded for the victim to surrender the vehicle. A witness of the armored truck robbery stated that one of the suspects held the victim at gunpoint while the other obtained the boxes of money inside the vehicle.
The suspects allegedly stole around $400,000 before driving away from the crime scene with the Brink’s armored truck. Fortunately, after a few miles, the Chicago police had arrested them. To date, it is not yet known if the armored truck robbery incidents are connected with each other.
