A police chase began in Arkansas which ended in a car crash in West Memphis. Reports say two individuals were transported to a hospital after the incident.

On March 29, around 4:30 p.m., the Memphis Police Department received a call from the Arkansas State Police for assistance regarding a police chase. The car chase reportedly began in Arkansas and crossed state lines into West Memphis. Unfortunately, the police chase eventually ended in a car crash on I-240 and Norris Road.

According to Kennin, two individuals were transported to a hospital after the police chase accident. One of the individuals was the suspect, Cortez Brown, 25, who initially fled the crime scene on foot. Brown reportedly drove a stolen 2011 Chevrolet Camaro during the police chase. Eventually, the Memphis Police had taken the suspect into custody without incident.

Two Injured in Police Chase Accident

According to Brown, the suspect was in critical condition when he was transported to the Regional One Hospital. However, to date, he is stable. The second individual was injured after their vehicle was hit by Brown’s car. They were also transported to the hospital in a fortunately non-critical condition. The Memphis Police stated that they are still investigating the car crash and have already reached out to the Arkansas State Police for more information of what caused the police chase.
