Mario Walters was sentenced to life imprisonment for exploiting a 6-year-old girl in East Arkansas. Apart from Walters, one of the sex trafficking suspects, DeShawn George, was also sentenced to life imprisonment in 2022.

In February 2018, a 6-year-old girl was transported to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Reports say the victim has suffered from what came out to be various sexually transmitted diseases. A forensic investigator of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) interviewed the victim. During the interview, the victim described two men as the sex trafficking suspects. The suspects were Mario Walters, 34, of Palestine, Arkansas, and DeShawn George, 28, of Little Rock, Arkansas.

According to Kienlen, the victim stated that Walters had raped her in a motel room. She also said that she was with George when Walters would enter the room and rape her. Thereafter, Walters allegedly gives George money. Eventually, the FBI investigators located the motel room and found out that the victim’s own mother had rented the room where the sex trafficking suspects have exploited the child took place. Because of this, the authorities stated that the victim had been removed from her mother’s custody.

Charges Faced By Sex Trafficking Suspects

According to Scott, test results revealed that both Walters and George were found positive to have sexually transmitted diseases that infected the victim. Both sex trafficking suspects have admitted in court that they have raped the victim and have sexually trafficked her along with other victims. In 2021, both sex trafficking suspects were indicted in 2019 and have pleaded guilty in 2021.

In October 2022, George was sentenced to life imprisonment in the Eastern District court. Eventually, on March 8 this year, Walters was also sentenced to life imprisonment in the federal court for conspiracy to commit human trafficking of a 6-year-old. Reportedly, the system of the federal prison has no parole.
