An article on the CBS News states that the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies immediately responded to reports about the bank being robbed. A bomb squad was also called to the scene to help identify the device. Reports say the bomb device left by the robbery suspect was fake and authorities determined that the area was safe.

Nonetheless, the bank was ordered to remain shut down as the investigation is ongoing. Other businesses nearby were also evacuated out of precaution. Two schools were also temporarily placed on a secure perimeter to protect the teachers. Fortunately, there were no students in school that day, therefore, there were no lockouts made.

Eventually, the robbery suspect was identified as Leonard Farrar, 38. Farrar was arrested by the Arapahoe deputies and the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force of FBI Denver. On February 22, the robbery suspect was taken into custody and is being held after facing a felony charge of aggravated robbery.
