Gendri Aguillon has faced charges for lying about his 4-year-old son being shot in a road rage in Texas. Fortunately, the shot was non-fatal and the child is in a stable condition.
On February 9, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report about a road rage incident involving a child who got injured by a gunshot. The deputies then responded to the Texas Children’s Hospital where the child was reportedly transported. Gendri Aguillon, the child’s father, 25, allegedly told the authorities that his 4-year-old son was shot in a road rage on a freeway in Houston, Texas.According to Fischer, however, the detectives discovered that the child had been actually injured at his grandmother’s home. A witness stated that the child sustained his injury in Katy, Texas, where the child’s mother and father live. Katy is reportedly 30 miles west of Houston, says Sheriff’s Captain Dalia Simons in a press conference.

Charges Against False Report
According to Kandel, Aguillon has faced charges of injury to a child and making a false report after filing a false police report. Aguillon was then booked into jail. Simons stated that others could have also faced charges had the child’s condition become worse. Fortunately, the child did not suffer from any life-threatening injury and was in a stable condition.
Authorities stated that the child’s injury might have stemmed from possible mishandling of the weapon in the bedroom. Simons said the child could have been playing or messing around with the weapon. In addition, Simons stated that her agency is now collaborating with the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s office and child protective services for the case.
