Suspect Mickal Parker has crashed the police car he has stolen from Atlanta Police Department. When an oncoming train was heading for the crashed car, the police raced to rescue Parker.

According to Jackson, the speeding suspect eventually lost control and drove onto the train tracks at the intersection of McDonough Boulevard and Hank Aaron Drive. When the police car flipped over, Georgia State Patrol (GSP) troopers and the APD officers raced to rescue the suspect against an oncoming train headed for the police car. Just seconds before the train hit the police car, the authorities were able to pull the suspect out. An aerial and bodycam video of the rescue was released by the police thereafter.

Identity of the Suspect
According to Sorace, the suspect was identified as Mickal Parker, 29. Parker was charged with reckless driving, obstruction and damage to city property, and theft by taking, fleeing, and eluding. To date, he is booked into the Fulton County Jail.
