Cities and states in the U.S. will be receiving up to $1,050 in direct payments this year. These payments intend to provide relief to Americans amidst the rising inflation.

IDAHO
In Idaho, residents who have filed their 2020 and 2021 taxes are qualified for tax rebates. The tax rebates amount to either 10% of the tax amount on the 2020 income tax return or $300, whichever is larger. On the other hand, joint filers will receive $600. The tax rebates will still be issued this January.
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
In Cook County, Illinois, applicants selected from a lottery will receive $500 every month for two years. The payments are part of the largest guaranteed income pilot program in the U.S. with a budget worth $42 million. The payments have started issuing since December of last year and a total of 3,250 individuals have already participated.
EVANSTON, ILLINOIS
In Evanston, Illinois, 150 residents have been selected to receive $500 in guaranteed income. The payments have started issuing in December last year and will carry on for one year.
ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA
A guaranteed income program called Alexandria Recurring Income for Success and Equity (ARISE) is issuing $500 per month for two years to 170 participants. The payments will be issued via debit-like cards and are scheduled to be issued on the last week of January.
MADISON, WISCONSIN
The Madison Forward Fund is issuing guaranteed income to families with low income from Madison, Wisconsin. The monthly payments of $500 started issuing in October last year and will carry on for one year. From the 3,000 applications, only a total of 155 households were randomly chosen. To be eligible, applicants must be residents of Madison, have at least one child, and earn a household income of below 200% of the federal poverty line.
PENNSYLVANIA
In Pennsylvania, tax rebates on property taxes can be received if taxpayers paid rent in 2021. Tax rebates will amount from $650 to $975 which will be based on the eligibility for supplemental rebates. In addition, homeowners must earn less than $35,000 a year to be eligible, while renters must earn less than $15,000.
COLORADO
The Colorado Cash Back program will issue tax refunds by January 31 to those who have filed for an extension and submitted tax returns by October 17 last year. Individual filers will receive a tax refund of $750, while joint filers will get $1,500.
NEW YORK
The Creatives Rebuild New York program will be issuing $1,000 per month for 18 months to 2,400 artists in New York. These payments are intended for artists who have struggled with their financial needs.
CALIFORNIA
One-time payments of $200 to $1,050 are still being issued in California. These payments are part of the Middle Class Tax Refund program. Residents who have changed their bank information after filing their 2020 tax return will receive a debit card between December 17 and January 14 this year. On the other hand, residents who have changed their address will receive a debit card between January 30 and February 14 this year, as reported by Dumandan.
