According to WCSJ News, two Illinois Senators, Sue Rezin and Jil Tracy are working to help parents who are struggling with paying for childcare. Illinois Senators introduced new laws to give financial support to families dealing with preschool and childcare costs. Senator Rezin’s proposal, Senate Bill 2717 suggests giving up to $1,500 in tax credits per child for preschool expenses. Meanwhile, Senator Tracy’s proposal of Senate Bill 3104 wants to offer a state tax credit equal to 25% of the federal childcare tax credit per child. Both Illinois Senators believe that providing affordable and good-quality early education is very important.
