In Nebraska, November is a big month for Casino Gambling.
Record Breaking for Gaming Taxs Hit in November
Nebraska had a huge increase in casino gambling in November, which led to a record-breaking month for bringing in gaming taxes. Gaming tax income from the state’s racetrack casinos topped $1.6 million, breaking previous records.
Lincoln’s WarHorse Casino and the Grand Island Casino Resort both made a big contribution to this achievement. WarHorse brought in almost $880,000 in gaming taxes last month, which was its best month since March, and the Grand Island casino brought in almost $523,000, which was its best month since April.
At Harrah’s Columbus, on the other hand, revenue slightly dropped from the previous month, bringing in about $211,000 in gaming taxes.

Notably, November was the first month that gambling tax was collected at WarHorse’s Omaha casino. This was because sports betting began that month. Even though there were no casino games, there was enough betting to bring in $11,332.65 in gaming fees. The Lincoln casino has paid more than $9.4 million in gaming taxes this year, bringing the total amount to over $16 million.
The casinos in the state have made more than $80 million in gross revenue through the first 11 months of the year, as shown by this large amount of tax revenue, which makes up 20% of gross revenue.
