$1,200 From Washington Working Families Tax Credit

Eligible residents and taxpayers in Washington can access and avail of extra sources of money through the Washington Working Families Tax Credit. This will allow the qualified residents to get an amount of $1,200 provided that they meet the requirements.

In a published article in the Washington Examiner, the Washington Working Families Tax Credit aims to assist hundreds of thousands of residents in the state. This mainly helps Washingtonian families who pay a disproportionate amount of their income in taxes.

Are You Qualified?

According to a published article in MARCA, the following are the requirements for the Washington Working Families Tax Credit:

  • Having lived in Washington a minimum of 183 days in 2022
  • Being at least 25 years old and under 65, or having a qualifying child in 2022
  • Washingtonians must have filed a 2022 federal tax return and be eligible to claim the federal Earned Income Tax Credit on that tax return.
  • A valid Social Security number or individual taxpayer identification number will also be required upon filing, which must be done by Dec. 31.

Furthermore, interested applicants can apply online or visit their local Department of Revenue field office. Likewise, Washingtonians can mail a paper application to the Washington State Department of Revenue.
