According to True Crime Daily, in Plain Township, Ohio a deeply troubling case has unfolded involving the disappearance and death of 24-year-old Raychel Sheridan. Sheridan who was believed to be pregnant was reported missing on Monday, July 1 after she failed to show up for work. Concerned for her safety her employer and loved ones alerted the authorities. The Stark County Sheriff’s Office responded by conducting a welfare check at her apartment the following day. When deputies arrived they found the door to her apartment ajar and discovered clear evidence of foul play inside but there was no sign of Sheridan. This unsettling discovery intensified the search efforts with the community and law enforcement working tirelessly to find her.

Boyfriend Arrested and Body of Missing Ohio Woman Raychel Sheridan Found on Same Day

As the investigation progressed authorities located Sheridan’s vehicle and conducted a traffic stop only to find her 26-year-old boyfriend Sean Goe driving the car. Goe had a history of legal issues with active warrants for burglary, grand theft of a firearm and domestic violence involving Sheridan. Upon realizing he was being pursued by law enforcement Goe fled the scene on foot disappearing into a wooded area. The search for him continue culminating in his arrest by Canton Police at a homeless shelter on Wednesday, July 3. This arrest brought a sense of cautious hope that answers might soon emerge regarding Sheridan’s fate although the community braced for the worst.

Tragically on the same day as Goe’s arrest sanitation workers found Sheridan’s body. This discovery devastated her family, friends, and the community. Investigators believe Sheridan was killed in her apartment but the exact cause of death is still unknown. The Stark County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the circumstances of her death. Sean Goe remains in custody facing multiple charges that may increase as more information comes to light. The community mourns the loss of Sheridan a young woman whose life was cut short, and they await justice and closure.
