Florida Police Officer Candidate Convicted of Sexual Abuse of Minor

26-Year-Old Man Found Guilty of Sexual Abuse on Child Under 12

According to True Crime Daily, in a shocking confession a 26 year-old Stephen Bodley was on his way to becoming a police officer in Florida before startling revelations came to light. It turned out at the age of 12-13 he had sexually abused another child at the age of 9-10. In one instance he had told the police that he played sex games with a young girl and she saw his penis many times. He said it was mere mistake when he began. But it was discovered that actually he put his genitals in her mouth. The girl who is now an adult and her mother have bravely told their story to the police officers. At first the girl became emotional and did not remember anything but later said that she went into Stephen’s room several times and suffered from sexual abuse. Police could clearly see that she had experienced sexual abuse. However, during trial Steven reversed his initial confession denying any responsibility for sexual abuse but unfortunately for him after being found guilty by jury verdicts sentenced would be passed on him come June 24th. It’s heartbreaking to think about the trauma that this young girl and her mother have endured and it’s a testament to their strength that they were able to share their story in order to bring Stephen to justice.
