CMPD alleges Charlotte’s mom was assaulted while the teen was hiding upstairs and phoned 911.

Police say a mother was raped in the back of her south Charlotte house Wednesday morning amid damaged windows. Upstairs, her teen called 911 for aid.

Police arrived in the 10200 block of Chivalry Drive within six minutes to find 32-year-old convicted felon Santerius Qwayshawn Allen raping the victim.

Officers claimed the victim battled “hard and valiantly” against the aggressive attacker. According to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department news release, Allen was charged with felony breaking, first-degree kidnapping, second-degree rape, second-degree sex offense, sexual battery, and assault on a female.

Police interviewed Allen and concluded, “He shouldn’t be let out.” They don’t know why he targeted the victim’s home.

“Hopefully the justice system will take control of this person and put them away for a very long time,” Maj. Jonathan Thomas said.
