Police say, Akira Ross, 24, was shot by an unknown man while filling up with gas at a gas station in Cedar Park, Texas.

Akira Ross was shot and killed by a man unknown to police as she was filling up with gas at a gas station in the Austin suburb of Cedar Park at around 9:50 p.m., police said. She was pronounced dead on the spot and her culprit drove off. The suspected shooter was identified by police as a 23-year-old. He was arrested around 5:15 pm. After investigators tracked him more than 320 miles south to Ingleside, Texas, on June 4, the statement said. He has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held in the San Patricio County Jail. Information about his bond was not immediately available. It is unclear whether he filed a petition or hired a lawyer to represent him.
