Missouri Paramedic Has Been Found Dead In A Lake After His Disappearance, Was Expecting Baby With Nurse Fiance

Missouri emergency doctor found dead in a lake in mysterious circumstances more than a week after the disappearance

Dr. John Forsythe, 49, a father of eight recently divorced, was last seen on May 21. The Cassville public swimming pool parking lot surveillance camera showed him boarding someone else’s car. Three days earlier, Forsyth had asked the nurse he worked with to marry her, but the family had only met since the disappearance. Most of her relatives were unaware of the engagement. Forsyth has eight other children from two previous relationships. In May, he completed the divorce proceedings with the mother of 7 children.

The “abandoned” car was found “unlocked” and contained his keys and wallet. Police also found the man’s mobile phone in the car, his brother said. His brother Richard Forsyth said last week that “there are no facts at this time to suggest any wrongdoing, such as gambling or kidnapping,” but said his brother’s disappearance was “more than strange.” An investigation into the doctor’s disappearance is ongoing, and authorities previously said it “does not appear to pose a public danger”.
