On November 27, 2022, around 1:30 a.m., St. Francis Sheriff’s Office deputies received a welfare check request on the 500 block of Gore Street in Crow Creek. Upon responding to the welfare check request, they discovered three dead bodies that suffered from gunshot wounds. Two adults were found on a bed. These victims were identified as Ja’Terrence Wright, 32, and Shalanda Barton, 34. A teenager, Kelsie Thompson, 13, was found dead on a bedroom floor. Thompson was reportedly Barton’s daughter.

According to Dillon, investigators stated that a forensic report from the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory revealed that a teenager named Jonathan Rolfe, 17, was related to the Arkansas shooting. The St. Francis Police believe Rolfe stole his mom’s car and ditched it on an industrial road near his girlfriend’s home. The police also stated that Rolfe had the key fob to his mom’s car.
