The forecasted significant snowfall led some schools in Arkansas to cancel their classes on Tuesday afternoon.
Schools in Arkansas Cancel their Classes
Schools in some districts in Arkansas decided to cancel their classes due to the forecasted significant snowfall. Classes were closed on Tuesday afternoon until today, Wednesday. However, there are no updates and reports yet if the classes will resume tomorrow.
According to a published report in THV11, the snowfall started to affect some areas in the west and northwest parts of Arkansas. It was also reported that the weather transition will be from rain to snow and this will be significantly experienced especially for higher terrain in the Ozarks.
Due to the heavy snowfall, the following schools canceled classes today:

- Dardanelle School District
- Atkins School District
- Dover School District
- South Conway County School District
- ATU – Ozark (Closed Tuesday and Wednesday)
- Arkansas Tech University (Closed Tuesday and Wednesday)
- Arkansas Tech Career Center (Closed Tuesday and Wednesday)
- Western Yell County School District
- Mountainview School District
- Shirley School District
- UA Rich Mountain
