Evidence Found Linking Zachary Vozzella to Crime Scene After Fatal Stabbing

According to True Crime News, in Lynn, Massachusetts Zachary Vozzella 26 has been charged with murdering Brianna Welsh 25 who was three months pregnant when she died. On July 31, police discovered Welsh with severe stab wounds at her home. At the time her boyfriend Brendon Vozzella was in custody for assaulting Welsh. He is accused of hitting her in the stomach earlier.

Zachary Vozzella who had been living with his brother and Welsh for a few months is alleged to have committed the stabbing while Brendon Vozzella was detained but later released. After the attack Zachary Vozzella left the apartment where Welsh was later discovered by a supervisor and a maintenance worker. She had severe injuries including a neck wound. Surveillance footage showed Zachary Vozzella arriving at another apartment where police later found Welsh’s key fob a bloody knife and bloody clothes.

Zachary Vozzella Arraigned for Murder; Brendon Vozzella to Appear in Court for Domestic Violence Charges

Zachary Vozzella was arraigned on August 1 pleading not guilty to the murder charge. He is being held without bail. Prosecutors have stressed the devastating impact on Welsh’s family and Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker hopes the legal process will help them. Brendon Vozzella is due in court on August 6 for charges related to the earlier domestic violence incident.
