Hinson: I consider that to be a concession

In a report from FOX News, Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, said in an interview with Fox News Digital, “When I look at the failed diplomatic engagement we’ve seen with China, everything we’re seeing come out of her trip is an appeasement strategy.” The partisan House Select Committee on Strategic Competition includes Hinson.

Just days before her visit, 27 Chinese enterprises are seeing their limitations relaxed. I consider that to be a concession. And that choice is being praised by the CCP official media, Hinson continued.

During her discussions with officials on Tuesday in Shanghai, including Vice Premier He Lifeng, Raimondo declared that the United States does not wish to “decouple” from China.

According to Raimondo, handling the U.S.-China economic relationship correctly is essential for both of our countries as well as the entire world. It is one of the most important commercial relationships in the world.

I also want to be clear that, while we will, of course, never compromise on safeguarding our national security, we do not intend to divorce from or hinder China’s economy. This, according to Hinson, is the “wrong strategy.”

Hinson: Biden’s “appeasement” of China is a result of his reliance on the CCP’s rhetoric

Given that we are aware that CCP entities are not abiding by the regulations, we should tighten rather than reduce our export controls on these entities. And we have often observed this. Therefore, according to Hinson, the Biden administration hasn’t actually learnt from its errors.

According to Hinson, Biden’s “appeasement” of China is a result of his reliance on the CCP’s rhetoric rather than its actual actions in international negotiations.

We have to be aware of what they are doing. And from what I can tell, they haven’t given us a single reason to believe they can be trusted, said Hinson.

They are murdering Uyghurs and committing genocide. They won’t ever put an end to that. They won’t cease eavesdropping on the United States. They are not in any way responsible. Why then would they cease now?

Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, reiterated her thoughts, claiming that China’s covert move to signal that it is open for business is a last-ditch effort to preserve its faltering economy rather than a gesture of goodwill.

Ernst urged the Biden administration to not falling for the trap. There is no doubt that the CCP continues to work to harm America. No one should be more aware of this antagonism than Secretary Raimondo, who despite being compromised by the CCP and still traveling to our worst foe’s home territory to conduct negotiations.

The existing quo is too hazardous to sustain, so I believe we need to make sure we’re pressing our allies and partners to put restrictions on economic investments in China. This way, we can ensure that the CCP genuinely feels the most pressure, reports from Central Illinois.
