In the early hours of Monday, a Mayes County car crash occur involving a 17-year-old girl. The accident took place on West 590 Road near South 428 Road, just two miles west of Chouteau, KTUL reported.

Mayes County Car Crash
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), the Mayes County car crash involves a teenager driving at an unsafe speed while heading westbound. For reasons that are currently unknown, the driver veered off the roadway to the right. Subsequently, she re-entered the roadway, crossed the centerline, and then veered off the roadway to the left, crashing into an embankment.
The vehicle involved in the Mayes County car crash was a 2007 GMC Yukon driven by a 17-year-old female. After departing the roadway to the right, re-entering, and crossing the centerline, the Yukon overturned two and one-quarter times before coming to a stop. The severity of the Mayes County car crash caused significant damage to the vehicle.
Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene and provided necessary medical attention. Due to the extent of her injuries, the driver was airlifted by Life Flight to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was admitted in guarded condition with head and internal injuries. The exact nature and severity of her injuries have not been disclosed.
